Syndicast’s FTP service is a straightforward FTP uploader:
- Uses the FTP protocol
- Operates only on the default port: 21
- Folder location setting: no spaces allowed in names.
- Does not support SSL/TLS, FTPS, or SFTP protocols.
If you have any unique settings, especially security settings or protocols, it may not be compatible.
1, Log in to your Syndicast account.
Navigate to “Settings” (1) and click on the “FTP Connections” button (2).
2, Click on “New FTP Connection” (3).
Please enter the following details of your server:
- Hostname
- Username
- Password
Specify a directory if you don’t want the shows to be uploaded to the root directory. If you’d like them in a particular folder, provide that folder’s name. If you prefer all shows to be in the same folder, tick the “Apply for all shows” box and then click “Save”.
If you want certain shows to be uploaded to different destination folders:
Enter the desired folder name in the “Directory” box.
Select the shows you want in that folder.
Click “Save”. (Ensure that you don’t tick the “Apply for all shows” box.)
Repeat this process for each show or group of shows.
